All veterans and their families, supporters, and locals within Beaufort County, you are invited to join us for our Veteran's Day performance this November 12, 2023 for our matinee concert. This is a free, family friendly event and our gift to the dedicated military families we have all over Eastern North Carolina. Please bring your active military IDs for 50% off on all concessions during this event. This year we would like to welcome the United States Air Force Heritage Brass Band and thank them for their commitment to their country.
Heritage Brass is a six-member pioneering symphonic brass ensemble. Bringing the military tradition of brass and percussion to the concert stage, Heritage Brass presents programs that are both exhilarating and intimate. Representing Air Force professionals serving across the globe, Heritage Brass showcases the service’s excellence and precision in every performance throughout the eastern seaboard, from South Carolina to Maine. The ensemble maintains a rigorous performance schedule, presenting a diverse repertoire featuring orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, and new compositions. Whether performing at a concert hall, educational venue, a large sporting event, or in support of a military function, their innovative approach allows them to perform both as a large symphonic group and a small chamber ensemble. As professional Airmen, the musicians of Heritage Brass are committed to inspiring patriotism, communicating Air Force priorities, recruiting the best to serve our country, and honoring our nation’s veterans through the power of music. They are proud to represent our nation’s Airmen who fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace. Thank you, veterans, for your service. From the staff at Beaufort County Arts Council, Arts of the Pamlico, and the Historic Turnage Theatre.
