ABOUT ABOUT

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 22, we will premiere two short films: "Haunting the Pamlico," our documentary about ghost stories of downtown Washington; and "God's Children," a drama written and directed by Todd Bagley.

In addition, we'll screen California filmmaker Ansel Faraj's psychedelic mystery "Todd Tarantula." The film stars a talented cast, including David Selby. Mr. Selby, who portrayed Quentin Collins on the classic TV series "Dark Shadows," is well known to fans of that show and many others.

Beyond all of this, the Haunted Pamlico/Alternative Stage crew will offer you chances to learn about acting and filmmaking directly from area filmmakers. Scheduled activities include an audition booth, makeup demonstrations, red-carpet photo opportunities, question-and-answer sessions with filmmakers Todd Bagley and Justin Oakley, and a brief talk on filmmaking by the Haunted Pamlico crew. Some of our costumed actors will give previews of, and do a ticket giveaway to, our Carnival of Darkness film and Halloween festival, which runs in September.

And all day we'll show Haunted Pamlico films, most of which have never been seen on the big screen. Come watch rip-roaring, and locally produced, horror and suspense films at the reportedly haunted Turnage!
